Hi! It’s been a while since I made a blog post. I’ve been really busy with the chores around our house. I planted a garden this year that I’m hoping does well this year. Our tomatoes are coming in really slow but I’m finally seeing flowers. We’ll see how it goes.
After I released my little mini art I felt like I need a break and to make sure I don’t get burnt out.
I’ve been a huge fan of clay minitures and I only had a few things to try out polymer clay, but never really invested in the hobby. Well…Michael’s was having a sale so I decided to buy all the polymer clay, uv resin, pasta machine, exacto-knife…all of it was about $50.00, so not bad in my book.
It was frustrating at first working with the clay. Michael’s like is kind of stiff, but the pasta machine and some clay softener helped a lot.
I had so much fun working on these little pancakes. That I worked on them non stop for a couple of days.
The only thing that I was upset disappointed in was the fact that the strawberries were really orangish brow when I finished baking them in the oven, so I had to paint them and the edges of the pancake. I used chalk pastels to color it the first time, but the pastels did a great job on the pancakes.
I decided to do pancakes because a year ago we were expecting a baby and I was craving something sweet, so I sat down and painted strawberry pancakes instead of eating some lol.
I carried our baby for 3 months and then we found out it was an ectopic. It was such a hard experience with so many doctor visits and a lot of pain, but Jesus carried us through it.
We look forward to the time when we do have a little baby to hold, but we’ll be patient and wait for Jesus’ timing.
Next my wonderful friend got married so I sat down the next day painted the bouquet at the top of the page.
We’ve had a lot of up and down this year, but Jesus is good and I can’t complain❤️
